already got my orders from 4 different catalogs. still waiting to put in orders with Territorial & Johnny's seeds.

today was nice at 46 degrees. went to the farmers market at my favorite greenhouse & stocked up on lots of colored carrots, some cabbage, potatoes & some goat meat (figured i give it a chance). market was swamped!

i think those re-supplies will be coming our way sooner than you think Major! tomorrow's supposed to be around 49 degrees & rest of week going to be in the 30-40s.

it hasn't been too bad up here at all this week. too warm in fact. we've been out walking and while i've been taking the winter coat, hat, mittens and scarf (well it's not really a scarf it is a knitted ring that i call a foreskin :) ) i don't really need them at all. today we ran errands most of the day and i didn't bother to take any of those with me. sunny, mid-40s to 50 and a bit windy, but a rather nice day for late January...

yep the cold is forecast to return off and on this week, but nothing too crazy yet... :)

Major that is a great looking set-up you got for starting. Once I finish the chicken coop, I'm planning to start a small garden shed for a set-up like that. I wont get it done this year but hopefully before next garden season. I may hit you up for some do's and don'ts between now and then if you don't mind.

What kind of light are you using with that setup?

using the ones that came with the fixture... altas 6 bulb high bay fixture

been watching the improvements in t-5 led technology.. thinking about converting 1 fixture next year..
but for now going to stick with t5 ho fluorescents.
i may be wrong but this photo seems to have caught the blue and red of the color spectrum.

the higher cri<color rendering index> and higher the k <kelvin> the closer you are going to get to ture sunlight...
if you really want to get technical about your lighting outputs would look into horticulture web sites
