Oh dear.... I don't know what to say. I'm very organized and turning into a minimalist so I can't help you much.

I would do something like what Steve suggests. Try to narrow it down. Would you have kept them at your house or place of business? Have you checked where you keep the documents that go with the puppies? You might have decided to keep those two things together. I do hope you find them soon. It's very aggravating when you can't find something. Good luck.

At least once a month this happens...I've bought some little gadget for a project, finally get to the project and cannot find the gadget. Repurchase said gadget and find the other one. NY, if you manage to find those same folders and purchase them, THAT will be the day you find those you stashed previously.

Happens to Mom nearly every day.

That's one reason I fight the never ending battle of organization here and also downloading clutter and things not needed. The less you have, the less you can lose or misplace.

Today it was her updated insurance cards for the vehicles...she should have received them in Dec. but she can't remember if she got them or where she put them if she did get them. Had to have a set emailed so we could get the car inspected today. Discovered her truck's inspection sticker has been expired since November, so had her go do that today too.

I never knew Mom was such a packrat before but I think old age has given her a cluttered mind and it's evidencing itself in her record keeping. I set her up with filing cabinet, files, organizational tools but she rarely uses them appropriately.

I think I have more of a "photographic" memory than I give myself credit for. But when I or DH misplaces something, or asks "Have you seen....?" I can usually recall where it is, to his amazement, and mine.

Found them top shelf of puppy room. Bee I usually realize my inspection expired when I get a ticket for it.

Glad you found them. This is the story of my life. I want to be one of those organized people, but only seem to pull it off at work (and even then, not very well).

I once got pulled over and avoided a ticket by wearing down the poor officer. I couldn't find my insurance card, which had just come in the mail. I opened the glove compartment, and there was a huge explosion of papers onto the floor. I started digging and found lots of old insurance cards. I kept saying. "wait, I know it is here!". Then I checked my jacket pockets, oops, no, that was last year's card. I insisted I would come up with it, but eventually he grew tired and sent me on my way.
