majors 2018 garden..

3/31/18 update.....
repotted 11 sweet banana peppers.

after getting back from lowes..the first of the children have their roots in soil....


while out there dw helped with the thyme...a major haircut... she got 2 dryers full the house smells nice..


tomorrow is a special day ..going to have chickens wings so the asparagus get to grow a couple more days...
put down 15 lbs of 13-13-13 and watered it in....

no rest for this bunnie, loaded up the tiller shovel,rake and fertilizer,. the poor pea patch needed some serious rework... tiller between the hills and shoveled back on to them.. after getting that done notice the evil onion flies are out there so sprayed them will do it again in a couple days...


had a jar of old carrots seeds so planted them, personally dont like spring carrots but the dogs do..

mowed the property, swept out the barn, hosed off the mower....called it a day now drinking some distilled carrot juice...

4/2/2018..
took today off, got the pea bed done fence, soaker hose, planted a mess of them, love fresh garden peas..

planted seeds in the raised beds..
radishes...red and white
green onions...green
spinach
butter lettuce...red and green
bok chio
kale

started more seeds inside..
salt&pepper cukes
marketmore cukes
cantaloupes
birdhouse gourds
blacktail watermelon


hopefully the weather changes for next weekend there are calling for another yankee clipper 1-3" really want to get the main garden finalized...

did pick the first of our asparagus this morning tomorrow should be another small picking...

4/7/18 update.....
spent some time readjusting everyone on the up tier, it was starting to get overcrowded so made the top mators only. while there did a little trimming of lower leafs and pinched off flowers.. needed to spend them out so their stems would start getting stronger, now 8 per tray instead of 18
only a week or two till hardening off time.....


everyone else went to the lower tier.... mainly peppers the far right tray have melons and cucumbers sprouting as of yesterday

for fun left these flowers on a new yorker, rubbed 2 of the flowers together in hopes of pollinating them....

as for the plants outside we had a hard frost the other morning and they are calling for another tonight.. might be a total loss will know more tomorrow morning.... staying positive ..

well my big idea of planting early has backfired on me.... pretty much lost everything out there

the kale faired better...still a couple tossed

a happier note..the muscadine grapes are starting to bud. the pippin apple is flowering.

and the kiwi it's starting to leaf out..

so some good and bad news....
