mowed the yard, made slats for the trays to sit on outside<the plywood bottoms i made are 1/4" to big the fit flat>. picked a handful of asparagus ..
was going to do some weed eating but forgot the gas can down at work...guess thats one way of getting out of doing ...grrrr

i know you people way above the 36th line are going to hate to hear this but we have had the windows open for the last 2 weeks, till today the humidity hit 76% they are calling for rain later on today.

What a garden space! What is humidity? LOL

mowed the whole property/ hour on the weed eater everything looks neat... watered in the beans, pulled weeds out of the watermelon patch. staked out how many rows of corn are going to be planted 8 rows figuring around 240 seeds . of course whenever i get a couple days off from murfreesboro,tn project will plant more in a couple of the raised beds.....
the grand garden i planned this year is out the window due to this project, so had to do a major rethink to make it as easy as possible for dw to pick/can while i am away... and still fill the pantry....

Your garden looks so good! Mine looks like a retirement home for weeds.

ever since i retrained my mind (brain wash :) ) to think of each weed as worm food i don't mind them so much. :) :) with chikns they are delicacy too. 2x brain wash. extra yum. :)

@majorcatfish DW is a trooper if she can keep up with all of that for sure. for us the first part of the growing season is when we need to keep up with weeding and making sure there is enough water. after the plants are growing and shading the ground then it gets to be a lot easier and that is about when the strawberries are coming in (if we get any) so it is a nicer time for a while...

"summertime and the livin' is easy..." :)
