September 2015, this is what my gardens looked like. Bought this land on My grandsons birthday. First thing I wanted was a big garden, dug 1000 stumps off this place already, probably dig 10,000 more before I'm done Lol.

@Lickbranchfarm sorry to hear that your cantaloupes are not doing to well... you have plenty of time to replant. if you want to grow a cantaloupe that is out of this world try growing "escorial" it is a french"charentais" verity johnny's seeds have them #3071 they are kind of proud of them .. but if you pick them at the right time people will think your a melon god.... will only grow this type here..

keep up on the watering,it's going to be a hot and dry week........heres to going vertical

Do you have a house on your land? Going to build one? :thumbsup

We are in the process of selling our House now, I'm waiting on my barn to be put up so I can move what stuff we are taking with us out, and store it here. Haven't settled on a house plan yet, but we've got time, If need be me and momma can live in our camper for a while, just me and her, kids are grown. This is our retirement plan as we call it, I got 20 years till retirement but getting started a little early so I get it right Lol.

Well, gave the cantaloupe a few extra days, haven't seen anything so broke out the tiller and replanted with some Hales best Jumbo seed I had stashed. Also started seeing a lot of new green In the rows, yep I have new sprouts! Not impressed with the cucumbers yet, I watered real good yesterday so hopefully they will surprise me In the next day or two.

Spent Friday and Saturday re-planting skips In the cucumber, zucchini, squash and blue lake bean rows. I started using and older Earthway seeder this year, it does a great job but getting the right seed plate for the seed is a learning curve. Just because it says bean on it doesn't mean it will plant beans well, actually I think I used a radish plate to plant my Okra, and it came out perfect. Anyway, everything is doing great, the little bit of rain we had a few days ago has the corn almost ready to lay by, probably do that this week sometime. I give everything a good shot of triple 10 yesterday.
On a more exciting note.....My barn got built! These guys don't mess around, called me Thursday evening said they would be on site Friday around 6 am, they were, and were leaving at 5:30 In the afternoon, done, said the black roof about killed them, but I think it turned out great. Their will be a 24'x30 lean too on the side with the roll-up door so soon this building will be 54'x30'. Will be wiring it this week, and hopefully get Duke to tie me into my new transformer soon.
