It's a toss-up between beer (amber or red beer, none of that yellow light stuff!) and iced tea with mint. I go for the beer if I'm working hard outdoors, and the tea if I'm inside chilling.

@SPedigrees Guess what? I am almost 100% German and can't stand beer! LOL The family thinks I must have been switched at birth.

i used to like a good beer once in a while, the darker or heavier the better. now i can't even remember the last time i had one.

Here's a vote for beer, @SPedigrees !
And, I go for the amber ale or a lager with some body. Wanna taste the malt ... and, don't want it covered up much by hoppy bitterness.
A little higher alcohol content is okay but I wonder about the dehydration effect. Doubt if it's much of a personal problem because I will get sleepy and won't be out under the sun in the lazyboy.

Hard for me to think of a drink for hot weather since we don't have hot weather. Our temps are usually always around 67°.

Another I like is cranberry cocktail mixed with tonic water. Refreshing and not to sweet.
