You can also do this with peaches. Peach butter is sweet and absolutely amazing. Makes great gifts and is super easy also.

If you have peaches and like this sort of thing, Jared has a peach butter recipe.

Steve :D

Hey Jared. I just told @Nyboy last month in a PM that you have a peach butter recipe. Was sending my pear recipe with him. You are gonna have to share that peach recipe with us sometime ;).

Far as my peach butter recipe goes Ill have to dig it up I'm at work. Its in my canning binder. (Yes I have a binder that is full of just canning recipes. Actually I'm on my 2nd binder. The 1st one got to where it was too small :hide)

The biggest thing I can share is to taste it multiple times as I said above. I'll have anybody who I think would like it sample it too before I can it. The base is always the same but sometimes it needs a little more of this or that depending on how the fruit develops that year.

Good to see someone else using paper instead of everything on computer . Steve has remarked about how good your peach butter is
I too have binders. One for gardening and chickens, another for recipes, and quite a few with teaching materials.

Old money client told me she bags each pear on tree. She has a grounds keeper and full time gardener.
I did this one year to my apple tree to prevent coddling moths worming in. It works but the darn rats chewed through the material.
