I would like to fence in my property, and build some pens for animals. I am thinking several thousand on fencing. I was looking at fencing on Tractor supply website when I noticed they had their own credit card. A lot of credit cards give you points for every dollar you spend. I clicked on their card to see what the deal was and almost fainted interest 27.9 % sad thing is people with little money have to pay this outrageous interest

A payday loan outfit that I drove by all the time closed shop, recently.

I'm so happy to see that. They did seem to have quite a presence at one time and still do some places, I'm sure.

If their clients nonchalantly drive themselves into bankruptcy, I suppose these companies have to charge these interest rates. They beat the living daylights outta those that can least afford it.

Problem is people with no money, also have a bad habit of NOT paying at all. So the ones that do, pay for those that don’t.

Too many people look at what assets or pay they get and ask, how much credit does that get me?

That is highway robbery. I've never liked credit cards because it defeats the purpose of getting a good deal or sale. Never had credit cards and fortunately neither do our 3 adult kids. We all work too hard for our money to give it to someone else.

But Mary, don't you need a credit card to order on line or book a motel room or plane tickets or rent a car or...….??

Curious on that one myself.

I use a card but pay it off as soon as bill gets to us. Otherwise I’d be carrying too much cash on me.

Relieved to see gas prices dropping - fuel prices a huge game, consumers waaaay, way too willing to allow the industry to play.

I know someone who refuses to carry any cash. Filling the Tank. I can leave it to DW to scout out best prices and I'm there with the card.

Often, I'll pay off the bill before I get it. My schedule but early.

If you pay it off when it is due then those interest rates don't mean anything. If you don't pay it off it can quickly become a big problem.

We have two major credit cards, both set up for auto-pay from our checking account. We monitor out checking account to make sure we are covered. Interest is never a factor. About every two years one gets compromised so we still have the other while we straighten it out with the other.

We also have two gas credit cards, probably should stop carrying the one I hardly ever use. Using one gas credit card with a discount card we get at least a nickel a gallon off the pump price. With the driving miles we do and the miles per gallon that's probably $30.00 a year which really isn't lot but it's the principle of the thing.

I use an app called “gas buddy” that finds cheapest gas when I travel.
