1/1/19.... our first harvest....

being a new year we are doing a pork and shrimp quickie gumbo........


have bok chio growing everywhere..had just a few seeds left over that i did not wish to save...so tossed them over my shoulder..guess what the sprouted lots of baby chio in the ground...:lol::lol:

i have to be careful with fish mainly salmon or any of the salmonid family plus many saltwater fish...
now if salmon is smoked "lox" can eat in moderation. can eat sushi,susami pretty much all day with no ill effects....go figure
shellfish no problem...

Love bok choi! Even someone with a severely black thumb as mine can grow it easily and it tastes great. Can't believe you are harvesting food in Jan, Major. Yeah, I know, life is good below, blah, blah, blah.... :D

Ah, but you forget....I'm in WV. Can't very well classify a hillbilly as a Yank, no matter how you slice it. ;) We be as southern as buttermilk and cornbread, brother.
