If I had that much trouble, I’d not shop online.

I ordered from Baker Creek kn Jan 12th and the order came on the 16th to the Springfeild ,Tn P. O. Problem was it was suppose to go to the White House P. O. but the wrong city was put on the address. So Springfeild said they sent it back. Its been three weeks and nowhere to be found.

Baker Creek is resending my order. Thats very nice of them to do but its not fair they get screwed like that because some government worker decided not to do thier job and steal from me and them.

i've had things that were mislabelled so that they would go almost all the way and then the final scan would send them back to some other place and they'd go in circles until you could finally get someone to pull it and correct the label.

a package that should have taken a week took two extra months going around and around... from the NE to the SE and back again...

Wonder if a PO box might help????
A friend lost a LOT of packages that the tracking said had arrived at the local PO but never made it to her box. She suspected the delivery person was keeping them - probably from everyone on the route - but the PO wouldn't do anything about it. She got a PO box near her work and had all online purchased packages delivered there - problem solved.

It may have to do with the odds: more with one carrier, higher number of items mishandled. Mislabeled -- all bets are off.

When I worked as a wholesale florist, we sent large boxes of highly-perishable products hundreds of miles. Trucking firms were very risky, especially at this time of year. Of course, the flower holiday of St. Valentine's Day is at this time of year!

Amtrak and Greyhound were good choices but the recipient had to be willing to pick it up at the station. Most didn't want to be bothered. The post office rarely messed up. Our thinking on UPS those days was that if you want it lost ...

Well, in this day and age what choice does one have? Particularly if (like me) most of the things you want come from outside the local area.

And that is only a very small fraction of the total number of packages I order.

Update: My stamp newspaper FINALLY arrived. Different mailman today I wonder if the old one was filching it (no wait, my coin papers have been getting through and they both come in sealed opaque sleeves so there isn't a way he could get one and not the other.)

Glad you are getting a replacement from Baker Creek. I too feel someone took it. It doesn't matter if Baker Creek can absorb the loss. It is still theft if indeed that is what happened.

Rammy, I'm glad your seeds are getting replaced.

Things happen sometimes. I have never had a package go missing and I order online pretty often. It's a mix of USPS, UPS, and FedEx deliveries.

I have received neighbors mail in my box quite often, and I just walk it over to whoever it was supposed to go to.
I also found a package on the side of the road right before Christmas when I was walking that I thought was trash. It was one of those soft plastic bags that store's ship clothing in. It didn't go to anyone in our neighborhood so I stuck it in my mailbox with a note to our mail carrier.

I figure it must have fallen out of our post ladies car when she pulled over to rearrange the boxes of mail. Honest mistake.

I do think people in the delivery service are honest overall. Our mail carrier Rosi is such a pleasant hard working person, and she has a challenging job being a rural mail carrier.
Kudos to all those men and women who work hard to keep the packages flowing across the country.

Buy online, pick up at store.

I found it odd that baker creek used DHL. I live in the middle of nowhere, bum f... egypt is up the road a piece. No carrier (FedEx, UPS, etc) can find me, so they drop off at the post office and post office delivers to me. My post office guy knows where I live
