I just got my grubby hands on Texas Gourdseed Corn, I have been looking for seed for THREE YEARS!!! And I got a half a POUND!!! It cost $35 but I don't care, I finally found it! After the Painted Mountain tassels, I'll plant the Texas Gourdseed Corn!

I know just how you feel, ELATED. Like I was when I finally got my hands on some Sarah's Old Fashioned Black bean seeds I had been looking MANY years for.

Bay, I was just reading about that corn, it sounds fantastic! Too bad it requires 120 DTM.
The Painted Mountain corn is coming up nicely in the peat pellets. It tassels so quickly, that I will have plenty of time for the Texas Gourdseed corn here in our climate. I put up lots of cream corn last year, still have plenty left in the freezer, so this year is dedicated to PM and Gourdseed corn.

So on monday I had a job interview and on the way back I thought I stopped by at my favourite seedstore, but it was closed. Had a 2nd meeting today, got the job and went again. Treated myself to 2 hazelnut trees, peas Telefono, purple Brussels sprouts Rubine, carrots Flakkeese and courgette Costate Romanesco.

Well that's one way to celebrate getting a job!
