Hey.

Here is something that I cling to: There is a story that has come down that some village children (pre-teens) had been in trouble a few days before Vincent's death. They had been playing with a gun. It was in the area where he had gone with his painting equipment.

The bullet wound was poorly placed for someone attempting suicide. Vincent returned to his lodgings and his bed before he died.

Some wonder if he had been wounded by the children and chose not to identify them.

What a complete and total waste of time, money and effort!!! Now, if he was planting food in that space while making it that artful, I could see it, but spending that much of your life and time over something like this that will yield absolutely nothing but 15 min. of fame and half your precious year gone?

There are about a million other more worthy things to do with one's time that could help other people, humanity, the community, etc.

Sorry, but as impressive as that much skill and dedication is, I'm not impressed with how totally useless it actually is. You can only appreciate it from the sky!

There is absolutely NO reason for orchids or roses or peonies to be so intricate - such a waste! A daisy is perfectly sufficient for pollination and anything else is a useless waste of energy. For that matter.. what is the purpose of a daisy? Not much nutritional value. Why are there flowers at all? Why not just tiny little single color blooms that become fruit & veggies!
