I have not had a whole lot of free time for the last few months, my job is taking up to 75hrs per week. But we have prepared the garden and planted some stuff already. We do the bulk of planting this coming weekend. I did have time to build a cart that DW can push in and out of the car port for hardening the plants off.

It works great. Had trouble with a lot of our pepper seeds, planted twice before figuring out it was bad seed. Had to order new seed so some of our peppers are a small but hardened off and ready for planting.i have also built DW a garden gate for Mother’s Day, still have two more things to do to it before installing ,it is going to be nip and tuck to get it in by Sunday. Happy gardening you all.

That's a great cart, what a good idea. Hope you show us your wife's garden gate when it's done. :)

DD's have been dieting and working out for the past year. Eldest DD has lost 40 pounds. We are thrilled bc she has needed to lose weight for over 12 years and has become self motivated. Youngest DD has lost 20 lbs. She used to be "the skinny one" and played volleyball in HS. Both of them have a weekly work out, several days/week at Planet Fitness. They do a runner's stretch before and after and are swearing that it is keeping them from ripping muscles. I brought them up on dance stretching, which is slow & hold, don't ever bounce, and I stretch out DH on the bed, where he can't get hurt from a fall. Having somebody else stretch you out is very helpful. People don't always know to relax when they stretch, and that our muscles need to be stretched regularly. Just some fyi, and hope it helps!

Stretching your muscles is called mobility! And yes it's very important to do that especially as we get older. That's why yoga is so good for you but unfortunately those classes don't fit my schedule.

I started turning the garden over by hand and DS came to help. We worked Tuesday and Wednesday. I worked on another area yesterday and have it about ready to plant. The neighbor saw me and brought over his small tiller. I am not sure I would rather till or turn dirt with a shovel and fork. DS came and took over. We still have over half the garden left. I am so sore. I can work for like 3 hours, using shovel, getting on ground picking up stuff, raking, and back down pulling weeds, and then go in the house tired and start stiffening up. Then will feel bad all evening and next morning I feel better but still a little sore. I am almost wondering if this is circulation problems and not out of shape. It is like I never get in shape. Used to be beginning of spring be sore and work myself into shape. This is either circulation or old age, I don't know. I know I need to lose weight and change my life. My dad started having problems in his 60s and died at 75. I just do not know how or what to eat or who to believe. All the crazy diet information, no meat, eat fat, ketosis, plant based??????
