Anyone out there know anyplace that still has bare root leeks available?

My wife wants to plant some and everyplace I've seen, minus etsy, is sold out.

The "seeds" are available but I was hoping for bare root stock.

It was only a quick glance, but I'm pretty sure I saw some at Walmart, in a Bonnie Plant Farm container. These would be growing plants...not what you asked for, but you might be able to have a harvest this year, while looking for a source for next year.

could be made bare root if absolutely required. :) i'm sure they'd recover eventually...

If I remember right @digitS' has talked about growing leeks and his climate is a lot closer to yours than mine. In Arkansas I'd sow seeds in the fall, they would overwinter even if I did not mulch them, and I'd get production the next summer. I don't know how that would work in the frozen north where you are.

The way I read Sprig's post is that he is looking for started plants, not seeds. Probably too late for seeds. I don't know if it matters if they are bare root like a bunch of onion starts or potted. Don't know how many he needs either.

Sprig, this is the only one that did not say sold out I could find. But I did not try to order.
