Fact or Fiction, Months with an R

I don't know anything about spawning shellfish. The idea of low amounts of fresh water shouldn't be a concern.

Even with Seattle's unusually warm weeks in spring 2019, the winter snow in the mountains was good, I do believe. How's the view of Rainier?

Steve :)

One idea behind avoiding shellfish in months without the letter "R" in them they did not mention in that article is that those months without an R are warmer so seafood can quickly spoil. With the invention of refrigeration that's not much of a worry anymore. That's the one I've always heard.

If the water is colder that they are living in when harvested the taste can be better for some. That may have something to do with spawning for some shellfish since some only spawn when the water is warmer. I eat oyster, crab, and shrimp harvested in the warm Gulf of Mexico waters during the summer an enjoy them.

Taking in the “tourist” spots.
Zoo, arboretum, locks, city tour on boat, aquarium, pikes market, bunch of local parks, large lake we walk her dog around, space needle, science Center or Chihuly gardens, local eating places (avoiding the real expensive ones) plus tomorrow I get to work on her car carrying rack, then train ride home. I’ll be sore and tired enough will need the rest. Has to be quieter than the plane.

Daughter hates to walk in town with me as these people are typical city people. Look down or away when they walk by you. So I’ve taken it as my mission to say “hi” or “good morning” to all. She says I act like Andy at Mayberry. I told her just call me “Gomer”.....
