our ge fridge came with the house it lasted 20 years...dont know if it died from the flood or just died, in the 20 years we have had 3 dishwashers all were more to repair than a to replace, so now that hole is cabinets now...
That hole in the cabinet is now storage! I had DH put shelves in the space and use it to store heavy/bulky items like the old electric roaster!

That's what I want, get the DW (that's dishwasher, not Dear Wife) out and make a cabinet. My husband says he'll do it, but so far he has found other more pressing projects. ;)
I may have to make it a more urgent priority by starting on it myself, haha.

My wife tried that trick a few weeks back on a project she wants but I consider a total waste of time. When she saw I wasn't going to bite she quit.

It has worked on me before but i agreed that those things had merit. And she was so obvious.

We are actually in agreement that this would be a good move. The timing is what we aren't in sync on. I get it though, he's project'd out. And it really isn't real high on necessities right now.
Realistically, I'm not really going to tackle it and make a mess I have to live with, because the kitchen disruption would be more annoying to me than to him.

well tonight when dh asks wheres dinner reply wheres my cabinet!!!!! you might get moved up on the project list....

He's a real easy keeper. He's happy with a sandwich or scrambled eggs if I'm tired. Plus he encouraged me to get back into riding and that's worth a lot, especially since horses pretty much make his eyes glaze over, haha.

I can be patient. :)

We just ordered a new dishwasher together with the new kitchen yesterday, and here's everyone getting theirs out? :idunno
For me it's the first time in my 40 years old life to have one in the house! We'll see how we like it or not. Personally I don't like drinking water from glasses that come out of a dw.
