Ignored tomatoes

These are two tomato plants from last winter in 3gal pots. When I moved things outside in the spring I just tossed these outside. I haven't watered them or cared for them at all and here they are still fighting the odds and kicking out some children. Haha.

they may survive another winter in the greenhouse, but i would try to root cuttings and go on from there if i really wanted to keep them going.

Yeah, I'm trying to root some sweet pea cuttings from one of our healthier garden plants :)

Wild tomatoes are supposed to grow in one of the driest places on Earth. I'd like to know more about that

However, I can't imagine tomatoes surviving many days without watering here. The possibilities for meaningful summer rain are next to nonexistent! Example: right at 1/2" August rain but the WS came up with that total by including 4 sprinkles on days when there wasn't 1/10 of an inch.
