I would be interested in a fall swap or trade now for leftover seeds. I have lots of native flowers, annuals, and veggies. Twincitiespanda, Farmington library just started a seed library in twin cities. I might check that out and leave some goodies. MichiganNick I will send you a pm to see if you want some of my extra seed.

White Bear library also has a seed library! I haven’t checked it out because you’re only supposed to donate seed you grew in the last year (probably to ensure its viable), but I will maybe this fall/winter when I have something to add to the collection.

Well, if anyone is interested in a plant swap or bulbs swap while waiting for fall to swap veggie seeds, I have plenty of flower bulbs I would be willing to trade for other bulbs I dont have. I hope I'm in the right place to mention this. In a group I'm in on another site, we pick what size priority flat rate box we want to swap and fill it up with what the other person wants from our list. Here goes mine:
Daffodil
Red spider lily
Mixed color asiatic lilies
Mixed color oriental lilies
Canna lilies(yellow king humbert, musafolia, musafolia grande, watermelon pink)
Mixed color gladiolus
Lucifer crocosmia/montbretia
Freesia
Amaryllis(red lion, apple blossom, johnsonii, Minerva, star of holland)
Pink fairy lilies
Rose bushes
Mixed color daylilies
Monkey grass(liriope spicata)
Bearded irises(purple, white, yellow, burgundy, bi-colored white and purple, and others)
Elephant ears
Southern white swamp lilies
Hostas
Pink oxalis
Paperwhites
Crinum lilies(for other crinum varieties)

I think that covers all I have. Takes a lot to decorate 90ac.

wow that is a great list! thank you for the offer.

i would love one of each of the amaryllis as i only have the one kind here so far. even the smallest of bulbs is ok with me.

i'm leery of sending tulip bulbs from here to anyone that i've grown outside because of botrytis though. :( i have plenty of different kinds though if you are willing to risk it.

please let me know soon as the flowers are fading and i'd have to mark those i'd need to lift and divide.

i've already marked some different daffodils.

have tons of stuff too but no time to divide normally. will make the effort for trades though. :)

basically anything we grow here i am willing to trade because we usually have plenty.

see the website and pictures at:

www.anthive.com

alas, i don't have a nice list like yours and i'm stuck for time this morning. i need to get some beans selected now. also, i don't have pictures of everything on the website, but if you can say what you'd most likely be interested in... :)

This message is for flowerbug. I hope you will see this reply at some time and respond to me here or via PM or email. I have never posted on a forum before so if this is not done correctly, then I guess you can beat me with a wet noodle. LOL! I am searching for any type of perennial onion and/or garlic. I am hoping you still have some nesting onions. I am establishing a permaculture type garden/yard and would appreciate any help you could offer me. I am willing to pay for onion bulbs/plants/seeds as well as garlic. I live in zone 8b (southern/coastal Alabama) so we basically plant most any veggie/edible year round & will be planting onions/garlic in a few weeks for spring-late spring harvests. What do you have to offer? I don't have many seeds to offer but do have a few Devil's Trumpet seed. They are called Datura. They are in the same family as the Angel Trumpet except they form seed pods and the flowers are deep purple & white, deep green foliage and the blooms face UPWARDS instead of downward as the Angel Trumpet. Stunning plant. I have lots of running & climbing roses, gardenia shrubs rooted & ready to pot, and I'm rooting fig tree cuttings now. I also have muscadine grape vines rooting. I am not sure what I grow in my zone would grow where you are but probably have most anything you might want. I do have a red/white stripped amaryllis that looks like a candy cane when blooming. Let me know what you might want and I will see what I can find or dig up. Thanks bunches.

please PM me your address and i will put a box together of what i have that will likely work down there. since we are far north i'm not sure the garlic i have here will work, but you can try some starts and see how they do. i have plenty of bunching onions and seeds. i will send you some of those for sure.

do you wany any lima beans, beans, peas or cowpeas? climbers or bush or don't care? dry beans, fresh beans, wax beans, etc. i have way more beans than i can really send but i'll pick some out which seem to do well no matter what i do to them here and a few of the longer season ones that might do better down there than they do here. i may also still have a sample of some greasy beans and cornfield beans both which came from the south and i've tried to grow them but they need a few weeks longer season. both are white beans and climbers.

i have several cowpeas that someone sent to me and they are not suited for my climate/location so i can pass them on to you. these are traditionally grown further south.

i'm not sure how any of these would do in a coastal setting. they may all really want some cool weather. at least i do know the peas are a cooler weather crop.

the only thing in return i would like is the amaryllis as i would like more variety in those that i have. i can send you a pretty generic solid reddish type in exchange. i'm just now getting mine to go dormant.

all i hope is that you keep passing to others what you can. :)

Overheard the request, and might have something to offer. I have a fairly large collection of perennial onions; but most of those are no longer dormant, and could not be dug right now due to muddy conditions. I do, however, have seed for a perennial bunching onion. It is probably shorter than the one @flowerbug has, and does not divide as rapidly; but has stalks 1/2"-3/4" wide. The only possible catch: it was sent to me as plants, so it is possible that the seed will not breed true.

I also have several different walking onions, and could probably find a few of the topset bulbils. Bulb-forming nesting onions that are Northern adapted may not bulb in your latitude. The perennial onions offered by Southern Exposure Seed Exchange might be better suited; but only a few are Spring shipped.

Bunching onions should be OK, as well as walking onions; those are grown for use as scallions. It is bulb formation that is affected by day length (and thus latitude). I grew a Hmong onion in San Diego that formed tight clusters of many green onions, with only a hint of bulbs when the foliage died down. Here in the North, it formed clusters of 1" bulbs. Unfortunately, after many successful years, a bad winter wiped out my entire planting. :(

Looking everywhere for the petite snap greens, peas. Can't find them anywhere this year and unfortunately didn't save seed when I had them in 2016.

Does anyone still have them? Would be willing to buy a packet from someone!
