I remember when they were a penny less than 4 cents.
Of course, you are noting a 25% increase, from one day to the next. These days, the rates increase just about yearly but at lower percentages.

I remember using a 15 cent stamp to mail a postcard and paying .35 cents for an ice cream cone at Thrify's in CA.Umm, yes I can.

I remember writing letters on paper that was very very thin, and then mailing it to my Aunt Flora in England. It was airmail paper.
