Cactus

Went to the all mighty wally world to other day to pick up some soil to start my seeds in. My little girl decided after looking at some seed packs that she wanted to grow a cactus. It isn't food and it isnt a tree so I know nothing about, please help. Food, soil, light, water, pot, ect ?????

I'd mix a bit more fine-grade perlite into the seed-starting potting mix for cactus seeds, rather than using the regular mix right out o' the bag.

I don't have sprouts yet, but my dog keeps uncovering the pots my stealing the plastic. I tried putting them in ziploc bags, but then she stole the entire thing. :barnie

put them on the fridge or on top of the upper kitchen cabinets?

Pat, who used to do that but now the cats are allowed up there so I've had to physically block off an area of the cabinet tops for starting seeds, much to the cats' disgust

With my luck I would come home to find a 50 pound pit bull on top of the fridge! :lol:
