Wow, it took me a month to lose 2 1/2 pounds!

I was below 190 at 189.5 last night (after I got the dirt washed off ;)).

I am optimistic! Last year, most of my weight loss occurred very late in the season. Then, for the first time in years, I got sick in late October and dropped a couple more pounds. May as well NOT take that route this time around .

Are the gardeners still losing weight . . . healthfully?

Congratulations!

Personally I lost 25 pounds in 6 months, then switched steroids for my asthma 2 weeks ago . . . and I am slowly putting the weight back, I can feel it in my body. Ugh.

Stupid steroids . . . but this one works a TON better than the other one and hopefully once my ol' bod gets used to this new one, I can start losing weight again. I mean, I was on the old steroid for 5+ years, obviously there's going to be a bit of a transition!

In the meantime I've got water retention, swollen ankles, and my appetite has increased to the point where I'm like a one-woman pack of locusts . . . eating everything in sight. I go through this with every steroid, though, with luck things will calm down in a couple months.

I am trying to manage the effects, we'll see how much I succeed!

(The goal was to lose 50 lbs by next Feb 1st, now I'll be happy if I manage to stay under my lowest weight pre changing the steroid!)

I got on the scales this morning: 185 pounds. (Or, 83.9 kg to the world outside of the US ;))

I made it! Goal :celebrate!

The weather has taken a serious turn to the cool and rainy. As the skies clear, it is supposed to be 32F (0C) Tuesday morning. Then, near freezing for the next few nights.

The gardening year isn't quite to a close because there is still produce to harvest tomorrow and clean-up will take quite a bit of work and include tilling. Who knows? Maybe I can drop a little more weight!

. . . and, justify wearing this belt on the 4th notch. I think for now, I'd just better loosen it, just a little . . . twoyyoyyoing!

awesome steve. I am still trying on my weight watechers. My total is 22 pounds. I even went down a size. I need to keep at it though cause my biological clock wants me to eat a bit more and sleep a bit more now that it is getting cooler. (and by cooler I mean 80+ degrees)

O ! 22 pounds! ! !

I don't see how I can lose another 7 pounds this year to catch up to you. Under normal conditions, that is . . .

Inactivity does me in. It isn't just that I burn less calories. Sitting around; I develop ESP and can see what is behind cabinet doors!

 Steve

ETA: . . . and Jillian Michaels is back on my monitor screen!
