The cross-pollination of the large and miniature Phalaenopsis orchids has been successful, there are three pods developing on the miniature plant. I have not checked the large plant in the greenhouse yet.

I also grow a few varieties of large leaf basil, my favorite is Plenty. We also grow lemon and purple basil along with dwarf oregano. All are being grown indoors hydroponically so we can have fresh herbs all year. My wife dehydrates basil and also freezes it into cubes for use in cooking.

I bought it last year and used it as the mamma for my seed project. It had a few flowers when I bought it but this time it has gone berzerk. If I decide to sell the seedlings at some point this is the photo I will use.

Here is the cross I just made and hope it takes, Mutt and Jeff. The small plant is from Trader Joe's and the large plant from Aldi. More flowers will be pollinated as they open to better my chances of a new hybrid. :fl
