The cat we picked up off the side of the road had been dubbed Henry. We still have him because there’s been a few delays with getting him to the rescues main building but he should be going on Wednesday. He’s healing well from his neuter and his combo test was negitive!

Here’s yesterday’s update He got fixed this morning and got all his shots and a combo test. His neuter went well and we’re waiting on the results of the test. If no one claims him by tomorrow then he will go to the rescues shelter and stay there until he’s adopted. I’ll update about the combo...

No one has claimed the cat we picked up out of the road. The rescue we foster through has agreed to take him as soon as we get him fixed and combo tested which will be Wednesday or Thursday. I got most of my moms garden planted for her yesterday and I’ll do the rest on Monday. I’m planting mine today. I’m going to be absolutely exhausted by tomorrow.

I thought broad beans we’re supposed to be planted in early spring with the English peas?

How early is too early to transplant strawberries? My patch is over crowded and I want to transplant and lay down weed fabric in between the rows but I won’t have time after August and neither will the friend who has offered to help. Normally I wouldn’t transplant them until around October but...

Going to pick up the last of seeds, plants and other supplies today.

We have the true mourning doves around here. Year round residents. They aren’t the brightest birds. They are always getting trapped in the chicken pen and then I have to run them out. I actually had to catch one and carry it out this morning.

We’ve been switching between them all week. Saturday we turned on the heater Sunday we turned on the air. Sunday we put the heater back on. Now the air is on. We’ve been jumping between the 80s and the 30s at crazy pace.

Did some weeding in the strawberry and blueberry beds yesterday. Also did some pruning. Nothing happening today since it’s rainy.

I’m not sure what this is but it’s definitely not a vine and it’s all over the property so no getting rid of it. It also dies back from the heat in May or June so it’s never caused problems here.
