We had tiny isolated showers yesterday & last night, then slightly longer showers today. This is the first day in over a week we've been able to see the surrounding mountains. At times the smoke was so thick here it was 1/4 mile visibility and driving around with headlights on in the daytime...

hah, we share our home with strangers (lock out mother-in-law suite we rent on Airbnb) but I would HATE having to share it with family members, except on a really short term basis. As far as my husband, I really enjoy the days I have off when he's working ;) but we also enjoy our 2.5 days off...

Got out camping for a few nights despite the massive amount of smoke. Overnight we had a touch of rain and the sky was beautiful in the morning, just a hint of smoke. Ok this wasn't true sunrise, but it was about 9 am, when the sun first appeared.

Ugh, I feel for the firefighters too! Can't imagine tramping around with lots of clothes and gear in a really hot environment all day, then heading back to camp in a tent, usually no showers. Just UGH.
