Can these grow in containers or must be planted?

Alright. These forgotten irises got planted. 2hrs later, and the others that still had to be done have now all been planted! Needs more dirt in the 4 in a row, but it'll have to wait a bit again. All of the irises in these two- Then w/e all of these were + the ones brought over, w/e those...

    Restarting the garden

Dry algae. No, they're specific ahole bugs that kill cukes and pumpkins like no tomorrow. One burrows into stalks and chews it to death from the inside-out. The other produces zillions of minions that suck the life out of vines from the outside. Worst part was I didn't see the adults until...

    Restarting the garden

I will flip the placement of corn and building. The original corn area is a water run off area, and I don't want all of the dirt and manure washing away again. I'm trying to figure out which pests window screen will actually keep out. I'm thinking the cabbage worm might be able to get through...

"Not for human consumption" seeds. Have you snacked on some?

What? I didn't trust AI for that. And there's little that's stupid about it. Feed is food.

    Restarting the garden

Okay. Last year, I started way too early. The table & supplies + the seeds. Waiting for the end of February this time. Looks like I started them mid Feb last year, and that was a bit early. There's nothing but ice outside, so I can't start anything with the garden yet either!

    Restarting the garden

Well, I dug up my potatoes 🥔 Bought a small seed bag, cut and put in layers into three 30 gallon grow bags. The dirt remained soft and fluffy all the way to about the last 3-5in at the base, then it was more compact with no taters. Will add rabbit manure and then they'll be ready for new...

    Potato storage, help!

Man, I learned about fridge pickles near the end of making a ton of WB pickles, and I swore off water bath canning them! 1.5 years and fridge pickles are crisp and perfect. I think I might try making flakes sooner than trying to can them. But we'll see.
