Our tomatoes have been in the ground for about 3 weeks and are growing like crazy. All look super healthy except one, whose leaves are a funky color and curled in on themselves. Haven't been able to identify the problem yet. Several of our plants have little tomatoes set on them. Can't wait...

Thanks, Major. Definitely a work in progres - we add a little more each year. BJ - we've had these panels laying around for a couple of years and finally put them in place to take advantage of vertical growth. Should make harvesting the beans and cucs much easier.

Meggsy, I'm trying bone meal this year to improve calcium availability (among other things). From everything I've read, it is very good for your plants. Guess we will find out if it helps with BER.

Southern, how big is your asparagus patch, or maybe the question should be how many plants? That looks like a nice harvest!

Isn't it exciting, Marshall! Ours are blooming, too, and I think our Black Satins are growing little bitty berries! Our berries are young - planted last year - so we are waiting impatiently for them to get huge so we have tons of delicious berries. Way too fun!!!

Us too, Lucky - too early for anything that doesn't like frost and cold nights, though our days are sunny and beautiful now. We do have lots of lettuce going strong, the garlic is looking great and should be ready in June, snap peas are growing like crazy, and our new asparagus bed is ferning...

Around here you have to force yourself not to plant too early. Our days are beautiful, so the temptation to plant is overwhelming, but we still get frost at night. Down on the valley floor everybody has been growing for quite a while, but up here we still have to wait until the beginning of...

And to think I've been looking forward to harvesting regular old pole beans this year! Maybe next year I can add some exciting "new" old beans to the mix! Sounds like fun!
