Jim yours looks great as well, wish I had the room to sprawl you appear to have. I thought about the "3 sisters' method, but just don't have room for everything else on my 1600 sq ft. Definitely could not do it without the cattle panels, and they are getting pretty full of butternuts and cukes...

Planted mine April 15, been getting tons of 6 inchers for the last 4 weeks or so, but the last few have been about 4 inches, used BT and only one vine has signs of SVB. I think they are just playing out, but the top or end growth on the vine seems to be still growing strong. Got plenty of time...

Been reading about Trombincino squash, and heard that you we can eat as summer squash, the same said you could eat butternut the same way. Anyone tried it?

I had a better boy and a Cherokee Purple sliced for supper tonight, the Better Boy was good, but not in the same class as the Cherokee.

As near as I can tell, upstate SC is zone 7.

How do you post a pic? Tomatoes, butternut, acorn, summer, peppers, okra, beans, potatoes, rabbits ate the broccoli, cabbage, sweet potatoes, onions. Only real issue is slugs and worms in the cabbage. Dispel and slug go works, just have to be diligent applying it!

I have always had a small garden, but expanded to 30x60 this year. With my renewed interest started checking out this site, I like it!
