2026, My year of Garden Narcissism

IF you read my new thread about which perennials to plant and those to avoid I found several of the "good guys" for sale at Eden Bros. I also found that I earned a $25 Farm & Fleet coupon (phone email only now), so I will have to spend it tomorrow. DD's found this armoire with cedar inside, 4...

What Did You Do In The Garden?

I weeded the front beds by the sidewalk to the house. It was preliminary bc I need to dig up and reset the broken pavers that I have used to hold back the soil. Several of them are flopped over. I have saved rebar to pound in to hold them up. We have had SO much rain recently that many...

    Coffee

Domestic turkeys are a sneeze away from wild turkeys and they can fly up to tree branches, which helps with predators.

    Gone to the Dogs

Tenma was a stray, somebody found her wandering in a field as a puppy, so YES, she has had a wonderful life. That's the best that anybody can do for their beloved dog.

First, PLEASE put "CO", and specify, mountains, high planteau or plains, with your avatar. We simply canNOT remember where you live each time that you post. Your Weather, 2026

Anyone Near me who started their cool weather crops early are gonna have a Good Spring harvest. It's been warmish and coolish, which is, as in Thursday's Mid American Gardener panelists said, perfect weather for lettuces, spinach and cabbage. I will need to plant them in the Fall.

2026, My year of Garden Narcissism

Me, too!! Eldest DD left me some mushrooms. I cut them up and started dehydrating, one tray. Should store nicely in a 1/2 pint jar. Btw, local small grocery store sells, Anchor brand canning lids, NOT the best, but without any writing stamped on them. They do well for marking with a Sharpie...
