    Phaedra's Adventure

I cook chicken and rice to add to my dogs kibble. Right now I’m feeding them sausage and gravy over their kibble. Then I’ll fix something else. I’ll fence off my garden tubs to keep the sheep from destroying it. They yell at me to let them back in the yard. When it needs mowing again, I’ll do...

    Coffee

Coffee is ready. I found a paddle drill in my box of tricks and drilled the stump. I couldn’t get it to go deep, but the stump is smoldering. I’ll play at it some more. Son and I walked back field. He said take my little battery operated chainsaw and go down the north line. It’s not bad and I...

It was a HUGE dead tree, took hours to get it down. 3 men, 2 chain saws, wedges, axe plus a tractor with bucket up and pushed up against it. The chainsaws (and men) got hot and several breaks were in order to let chainsaws cool off. The stump was much higher, I burned a big pile on it already...

    Phaedra's Adventure

I took a page out of your book, and planted store bought green onions that the tops had gone bad in the refrigerator. Some garlic had sprouted, so I planted that too. I used those black tubs I used last year. My seeds are all old, like 2017-2020. So for giggles and grins I planted an entire...

    Baymule’s Farm

Ewenique has had me worried the last few days. She walked real S. L. O. W. Waddled is more like it. She trailed behind the flock, big, fat, uncomfortable. Yesterday , she was clearly uncomfortable. Laid down, got up, wandered aimlessly, laid down, got up, rinse, repeat. The flock would wander...

    Coffee

I worked all morning piling wood on that stump! I drenched it in diesel, drenched the wood, fed it more and more wood. I don’t think the stump appreciated my efforts. I don’t think it even noticed. So I’m making the executive decision to ignore the darn thing. The lambs like playing king of the...

    Coffee

I’m about done with coffee, then outside for the day. Going to burn a stump, again. If I can’t get the darn thing to burn completely then at least maybe I can reduce it some more.

    Baymule’s Farm

Waiting on daylight so I can do feeding and load up 2 adjustable ladders and some 2x6 or bigger, boards to make scaffolding. That will make taping and floating the ceilings easier. Tomorrow I’ll start a fire on a stump to hopefully burn it out.

    Phaedra's Adventure

I don’t have a garden yet, so I truly enjoy your posts and pictures. I have a lot to do before I can put in a garden. I need to get back on tearing down those old chicken coops. So far, I’ve been mining them for materials to build something else with. LOL

    Coffee

Coffee is ready! Going to friends house again today to tape and float sheetrock. I’ll go today and tomorrow, staying home Friday. Winds are supposed to be low and I need to burn a stump. It’s partially burned, but still a lot of it left. It’s where I want to put a barn, so it’s in the way. Lambs...
