What someone has trouble growing zucchini? Hard to believe. Here we beg people to take the extras off our hands. I still have shredded in the freezer from 2yrs ago and more growing-ugh!
maybe it's your zone...z5 here, and grows like a weed, an annul weed I keep planting-hehehe
my potatoes are growing like crazy too. They just started flowering here in my central Indiana. But since they continue to grow taller I keep adding compost/straw/mulch mixture(ok hubby keep adding-with my help) to the tops.
Every other day they need more around them.
I'm using the tall wire...
looks alot like my 'pan squash' the little flat scalloped squash-yum!
Some of these types of plants, gourds/squash/vine things don't like to be transplanted-I'd leave it a bit and see.
I've had one in my yard for about 10yrs-the same one. I was so afraid it would get broken-but it's lasted this long-yippee(going to find some wood to knock on)
I'm not into yard ornaments-but a globe or two nicely place, adds color all year.
Here in Indiana, Purdue university is doing a study on Black Spot, and asking all of their master gardeners to watch for it and bring in all specimens we find.
I just love Purdue and the Hort. dept! We're actually hoping to find some roses black spot.
I make sun tea with several of my herbs. I tie fresh herbs in cheese cloth-to act as tea bag. But I also use regular teabags from the store.
I use a container with a lid or pitcher with plastic wrap over top to keep debris/bugs out.
Add tea/herb to container filler with water. Secure lid/cover...
I'd be driving around looking for my plants-dang people! hard telling from where they came, but I'd sure like to hunt them down...
I'm just going to plant a 120.00 pompom juniper tonight-I'm gonna have to watch it like a hawk.
I worried the potted plant would disappear- had hubby hide it til...
My rhodie likes a lot of morning sun then some shade through the hot mid day. I also spread pine needle type mulch on their ground once a year-that of course will depend on your PH.
maybe test your soil and pay attention to the light they are getting??
A little tlc-is sure worth it for these...
Dang I just planted all mine about two weeks ago. But then again I already have extra long dippers, and birdhouse. Good luck on your search-I love the huge kettle gourds.
Good thing they root deep-have you every tried to more a bed of them-dang!
Peonies are pretty heardy plants and roots-even if winds blow them over-they're still strong plants growth wise.
Good luck and I'll bet you get some next year-then after a few years even more.
But it's sooooo good for the garden, and our seeds need it, and maybe you'll see a rainbow...
there feel better now? Rain rain go away, come water my garden another day!
