    Herb seed

Not really worried about the chive seeds not germinating. Don't really use chives that much. Surely don't want them taking over my property out of control. The main reason I was going to put any out was to attract pollinators. Didn't realize chives was so invasive. Not germinating could be a...

    Parsley plant

My first time growing parsley. Been studying care & growth cycle. From what I've read it will grow leaves first year to be harvested. Second year will not grow leaves, but will produce flowers then seed. Guess that means I will have to plant parsley seeds again next year if I want leaves to...

    Herb seed

Thinking I overlooked a detail in planting chive seed. From what I have read chives need darkness & 60-70° F to germinate. My temp was ok, but had them under grow light with the rest of the herbs. Im assuming that's why seeds did not germinated in 15 days. Seed pack says germination in 15-21...

    Cabbage, Collards

Since I don't store any cabbage, collards. Maybe I should just pot mine up. Im only looking to have 2-4 heads of cabbage, collards in spring, fall, & prefer only fresh cabbage, collards to eat. Maybe save the raised bed for larger crops. Am I over thinking again? Hope I did this post correctly...

    Cabbage, Collards

I did read that moths and aphids could be a problem with cabbage & collards. I was thinking about putting a row cover over them but not sure if that would stop them. But maybe slow them down anyway. This is my first time planting cabbage, collards. Could be my last time also. New experience I...

I'm seeing online shouldn't grow cabbage, collards together. Is this true? It is same plant family. Or is it ok long as planted on opposite ends of raised apart with another crop in between? Also, did I post correctly this time?
