    Baymule’s Farm

Oh yes, I very well know and understand how important trees are. Their shade is far more cooling and refreshing than the shade, say, of a barn or other man made structure. When I made the offer on this place, the double wide was ringed with oak trees, a shady oasis. Before we closed, they were...

    Concerned About Growing Old?

Feral hogs are very destructive for the planet too. Tasty though. I raised the chicken I eat. They haven’t destroyed anything. Maybe I should have given them chicken sized jackhammers so they could have kept up with the darned hogs! I’ll have lambs ready for slaughter in the fall, they eat...

Riding mower! :gig:lol::gig:lol: It takes a tractor and bush hog, even at that, these fields are rough with ant hills and crawdad mounds. They bog down the bush hog and I have to be quick on the clutch to keep from stalling out the tractor. Lift bush hog, try to find a clear spot to...

Coffee. I will survive now….. out of cream, but I’ll survive that too. Had a lovely afternoon with friends yesterday, got home right before dark and got animals fed. AC was blowing hot air, was 81F in the house. I shut it off, called son to complain. He suggested that I go to his house and sleep...

    Baymule’s Farm

They were getting close to seed when I chopped them. Then took 2 days for a trip to Corpus Christi to see granddaughters, then a 9 AM to 10 PM chicken processing, then a morning feed run, followed by total exhaustion. Next day, yesterday, picking up thistles and bagging them. Monday start over!

    Concerned About Growing Old?

I usually gain weight over the winter. Generally it’s 5-8 pounds, no big deal, unless I don’t get it off, gain weight the next winter and so on. So I go on a diet, each year I try something different with varying levels of success. Mostly I dont strictly adhere to the diet, they are all boring...
