    Tomato choices

I'm with Digits I'm not a big tomato grower. I like my midsized high yield ones. German Giant came to mind I saw BK mentioned it. Hungarian Heart was another that came to mind. I've never grown it but it's worth a try. I know there are some big bicolor tomatoes too but I don't have any...

    3am call From Alarm Company

Alright @Nyboy Ill play along. So you get a call that the alarm was tripped. You beat the police there. Then what? Do you trust the training you have and the amount of range time you have put in prior to this to go walk in and possibly confront someone? Are you going to make the time to make...

    Petunia Volunteers?

What if you kept them potted and dunk the whole pot into the ground? When it gets too warm just pull up the whole thing and relocate it.

    Where Does Your Dog Sleep?

I used to share a twin bed with an 80lbs German Shepherd when I was single. When it was time to get up he'd quietly get down then very gently push his nose under the covers till he touched my bare skin, (my leg, back etc) and. I'd jump up and was awake for the day. Nothing like a cold nose to...

    Night visitors

@Carol Dee This is Echo. She's 17months old and around 14lbs. She's still got a little growing to do yet. They are not fully mature physically till 3-4yrs old. I love the breed. They are very into their people as you can see. Super sweet, gentle, inquisitive, some would say needy they are...

    1st harvest of 2016...

Thank you. I would eventually like to go this route for the sake of my sanity to help fight weeds but have to start out small. My daughter has been in my case about growing all the different colors of carrots so I need to get this done.

    Night visitors

My Maine coon kitten's father is 23lbs and the mother is 15lbs. I've seen many 20+lbs Maine coons and they are not fat just big. Looking at the last pictures you posted of the opossum compared to the rock then looking at the original pictures in question makes me think house cat.

    Petunia Volunteers?

It's possible. They come up all sorts of places. This was outside my station a few summers ago.

    1st harvest of 2016...

How deep are the beds @majorcatfish ? I've come to the painful realization without raised beds and seed tape I won't ever get a respectable carrot crop. Was thinking I'd use 2x12 boards for mine.

    Photos of Your Manure Makers

@Nyboy the rabbit tractors work so long as they can't dig out from under them. I'd rather have a chute under the cage and the pellets collect in a bucket to spread that way than rely on regular movings. No manure makers. I have friends with horses so can access the piles that way, and I've been...

    This is kinda surprising.

I don't want to have to try to compost that much manure.

    Perennial Shade Plant Suggestions Needed

Dutch honeysuckle comes to mind. It's a full sun to partial shade climber that I've grown before. It's pretty determined and when in bloom is wonderfully fragrant. Usually if it can get going in the shade it will climb to the sunnier spots and make its presence felt. You may want to wait till...

    My list for 2016

That is an impressive list. How many repeats or must haves are on the list and how many are new varieties for this year?

    Squash seed

I rinsed mine in a mesh strainer under cool water, then on spread out on a paper towel to air dry. I've never had an issue even if a little bit stick to the paper towel. I just gently lift them and plant them. I also start them in cold frames to help save space and transplant them that way...

    Potatoes....all those varieties...

@Carol Dee https://www.mainepotatolady.com/productcart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=134 That's where I went. Organic seed is not a big deal for me but Id rather support her than some of the bigger seed companies and operations out there. Johnny Seeds have them too. I just googled them...
