What do seeds look like, did you manage to save any?

You know, I know bamboo is a grass, so I didn't expect flowers, just something like all of the grass heads I've seen in my own pastures (basically the picture). Yet, somehow, I'm still disappointed. 🫣 😅 Are they at least also huge or still tiny? Anything for scale?

Yes, it's hard to keep alive over winter. Needs high light, decent water temp and many hours of light each day. Plus some fertilizer. Last year, they grew new sections, rotting the old, into practically mini versions of itself. 1in leaves vs 3-6in+ when outside. More light would keep them larger.

Well, soil was infested with gnats. What fun. Still trying everything to get rid of them. On the plus side, here's my polka dot hedge and it's millions of flowers!

Replacement pawpaw arrived, better taped to the box and stick.

They're sending a replacement for the broken tree. Out of NC1, so it'll be a Potomac. Redoing planting for two offset rows of 4. 4 cultivars, 1 variegated, 2 Powhatan seedlings and 1-2 Culpeper park seedlings. The final four fburg yearlings. They'll go in the woods and flood plane.

Got 3 in and fenced. They need shade and watering. Then the last tree to be planted.

Got the holes dug. Wire and trees tomorrow.

Hibiscus says -20 to -30, so, put it in another pot and left it outside. Brought the other into the house.
