I have that problem sometimes, too. Wouldn't it be nice if recipes provided weight info. for each ingredient? And indicate on everything if the measurement is in fluid ounces or ounces by weight.
I think some European countries use weight in their recipes.
Thanks @Smart Red . Last night I spent an hour going through the Pintrest sites. There are a ton of them there. One of these days I'm post some pics of my bonnet(s) on my special ladies.
Thanks everyone. You guys are great.
Now let's see if we can find some free sewing patterns for the pioneer bonnets. I'm not sure that I want to admit it, but I do like to make things out of fabric and I like to sew. I have made workshop aprons, Halloween costumes for the whole family on...
Can someone recommend a place on line to look for a bonnet like they show on Little House on the Prairie. I'm looking for one with a long beak or bill in front. It's special gift for a very special friend.
Please keep us up to date on your efforts. I have thought about aquaponics many times but my family has recently become REAL farmers and have tons of work waiting for us all the time nowadays. However, I was injured last fall and am not able to get out to do the hard labor like I used to do...
Your GH and shelving looks GREAT! Good job. I think the plastic on the floor is a very good idea, too. Any air leaks during cold weather can lower the temperature in there considerably. The air leakage also has a tendency to drag the moisture in the GH air down. It is good to keep the...
I just asked my DW why we don't use ours very often and she said "I don't know, I just never think about it".
We do use our pressure caners (as well as water bath caners) all the time during harvest times.
There must be a psychological reason for not using the pressure cooker.
My dad had a large greenhouse - all steel frame with glass roof and walls. About 15'x30' and 12' high. Several years ago it was destroyed by a tornado. It's still out there in a forest of weeds in a pile that looks like any typical tornado disaster scene. I plan to clean up that mess someday...
For some reason I cannot get worms to stay in the gardens. We do not use chemicals other than typical garden fertilizer. Every time I have worked in these gardens I search for worms but find almost none.
What do you think causes the worms to run and hide. I and other members of the family...
Wow! That ski is interesting. And pretty sophisticated, too. You called it a "mono" so I would guess the "bi" is similar with two skis and requiring less balance. Yes? Looks expensive.
I'm not a skier and I know absolutely nothing about skiing so this is very intriguing to me.
Thanks.
Whaaaaaat? I have some questions for you . . .
1. What is a Bi Ski?
2. The military would never enlist anyone at the age of 65. Are you sure?
3. He came to ski but has has no use of his hands and can't walk. Hmmmmm, very strange.
We have had 4 gas stations close (within 10 miles of here) in the last 4 months. They say that the low prices of gasoline has run them out of business. All 4 stations did not have big snack shops. Many use the store to keep them afloat, I guess.
I simply dump our wood ash on the compost pile. Have done that for many years. I've been putting a 5 gal. can of ash out there about once a week since it has turned cold. Wood ash is acidic so it tends to decrease the Ph of the soil but we need that here at PlayStation. No lime needed in our...
I saw $1.34 yesterday for 87 octane unleaded and $1.93 for Diesel. Last week I got our 300 gallon tank of off-road Diesel filled for $1.47/gal. I wish I had another 300 gal tank.
Since I have been on the "light duty" list for a while I have been going stirr-crazy around here. Last month I moved one of our tree stands from the deep woods into our back yard so I could get to it easily. I love to sit up there and watch wildlife on the edge of the woods. I discovered that...
