I had peas & green beans planted here last year. I amended with 2" of mushroom compost. I probably don't need to add any nitrogen yet since green beans & peas was there last. I'm thinking I will start using a 10-10-10 fertilizer 3 weeks after planting & continue every 3 weeks until bulbing begains.

I us it on fish, coleslaw, garden salad. Sometimes I run across a recipe that call for parsley. Haven't used it a lot but starting to use it more often. Seems to have a lot of health benefits. Open for suggestions!

Ok, thanks. I didn't know it produce leaves second year. So just make sure harvest leaves before seed sets second year. 👍

Thinking I overlooked a detail in planting chive seed. From what I have read chives need darkness & 60-70° F to germinate. My temp was ok, but had them under grow light with the rest of the herbs. Im assuming that's why seeds did not germinated in 15 days. Seed pack says germination in 15-21...
