    Hi! I used an outdoor latex paint. Yes, it can be used as a birdbath. I have also used lotus leaves, and the biggest hosta leaves I could find. Next year I'm going to use cabbage leaves. I'm going to use a big tupperware bowl for those leaves. It's really rewarding to make them. Jen

    Hi! I am new here--am from BYC. That is a burdock plant. I let one grow in my yard. Here is why :ya I use these instead of rhubarb leaves. So much more veining, it makes a beautiful leaf! Jen
