Hi tiffanyh!
I just saw your post asking for carpet phlox - well, we've sure got it! I'll be happy to send you some plants. I can't tell at this point which color grows where, so I could just send a nice variety, hoping to sample all the colors (we have several: white, pink, darker pink...
punkin, have you tried using DE (diatomaceous earth) for pest bugs in the garden? The only catch is to just use it when needed, as it kills beneficial insects as well...but it gets away from using a chemical.
Hey, welcome everybody! :frow
I'm pretty new here myself and wish this sire had been around ages ago! (OK, I'm not THAT old! :D ) Anyway, gardening keeps you young. I just love messing around outside with plants. It's great to have a place to ask for ideas, share what works, and just talk...
I'd be very happy with tulip or crocus bulbs, if you have any to spare. Do you want me to start listing some of the perennials I can divide, or do you want to start a wish list and see what I have? What herbs do you need? I have2 kinds of mint - who doesn't?), lemon balm. anise hyssop, oregano...

First of all, I want to welcome you to TEG! :ya Wow, I just noticed that you just joined tonight...that's neat. Well, I don't have any fruit things to offer, but do have tons of different perennials, and a few herbs... maybe some would interest you. We're zone 5 now (recently changed from 4)...
I feel your pain :/ We just had our first frost (locally, at least) last week, and it was not forecast. Fortunately we picked our solo red 'mater earlier...
Silkiechicken,
I've copied a post from Rosalind that may help as you get closer to expected frost: "I have these two giant green tomatoes that are, like, a pound each, and I'd like them to ripen one of these days...
You know, if you have a frost coming for sure, and you pull the whole tomato...
It's official for the Clarendon Flats where we live: we got our first frost! :ep Yeah, at least I got everything I really valued covered with plastic. All I can say is...:barnie
