    Not exactly for the garden...

WHAT???? I'm not clicking that link, but I think we just got spammed! ok...back on topic. The little butterballs will just sit by the feed and eat all day if you let them. Be very careful with their size though. They grow so fast they can get heart failure if you wait too long to butcher them...

    Anyone have Guinea Fowl?

Ohhh, yes! Get an anteater! :gig I raise guineas. They will eat almost any bug that walks in front of them. They aren't as destructive in the garden as chickens. They don't make a noise all night long unless something wakes them up. My neighbors know they eat ticks and bugs so they don't care if...

Why are people so messed up?

People dump dogs here all the time. We feed them, then crate 'em up and drive them to the humane society. They deserve a chance.....it's not their fault. Mostly people dump Beagles. After hunting trials, if the dog doesn't do well they're considered not worth the feed to keep them. Sad really.

    Going BOLD! or TOO Bold?

I LOVE the door! It's a nature color, so it doesn't look out of place outside....and when you leave the door open it will bring a splash of nature indoors! Good job! :thumbsup

Jack, have you tried red pepper flakes, or water on your plants? That keeps the deer away from my lily's.

    School expirement......advice needed please!

Wow...Thanks! So many great points! I had completely forgotten about 'control' pots. We were going to use compost from the compost pile in the beginning. Then make compost 'tea' to add every week when we add the chemical fertilizer to the other pot. I will probably get a light to put on them for...

My son is 11 and his science class is doing a mythbusters style project. Each kids picks their own topic then has till April to prove or 'bust' the myth. My chicken loving DS has chosen "is chicken fertilizer better then store bought fertilizer for plants?" I'd like to pick 3 different types of...
