we finally got rain, about 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch. it watered the garden better than the soaker hoses. and besides the pump didn't have to run.:thumbsup by the way we're in south west michigan

last year we had free ranging layers. we used orange snow fence from the Menards by us. not only did it keep out chickens it also kept out wayward pigs.lol
