Afternoon,
We got our cabbage sliced, packed in the crock, plated and weighted. Starting tomorrow I'll keep the water down some and in a couple weeks we'll put it up in jars. We only did 50# this year as we got over to the cabbage farm late.
You just can't beat real sauerkraut. Any body else...
Our beagle (deceased) ate corn on the cob. She not only ate it but she also picked it from the stalk and pealed the husks off.
I never thought it might hurt her though. She was a fattie.

That's a dandy lookin egg. My first eggs are much smaller than yours. Mine new hens seem to take a month or better before they get to that size. Or...my hand is a lot bigger.:lol:

This is a pic of my sons plums. Just as they ripen this fungas appears. If you open the fruit it appears to be already rotten. Any ideas?? ie. what is the problem? how do we take care of it now?? in the future?

Hi :frow back at you Cats and Critters. Sounds like you've had success with the late season. I've not tried it but I suppose if it gets cold enough and with a heat lamp things would go well. We use a heat lamp in the spring with the young ones and have never had any problems.

I seem to be getting a whitish fungas or powdery type mold on my green hubbard leaves. I did a search on TEG and didn't come up with any hits. Any ideas or suggestions on what I should do??
