Do they have canners as well. Looks like Weck might have canners. Saw this at the top of their site page but didn't see them in their product line.
They look like the old fashioned glass jar, glass lids and gaskets.

The jam looks great. I so much enjoy reading your posts. It is so great to see a young man that appreciates and loves his grandparents and parents as you do.
My grandsons like to can with me as well. They are very young though. I hope they still enjoy it...
I use put vinegar 5% acidity in my peppers and then water bath them for 20 minutes, I think. If you have a Ball Blue book you can see how long it is for pints and quarts to water bath them.
I also put them in bread and butter pickle mix to make what is called Cowboy Candy. Yum.

You can also put them in a box with newpaper on bottom and top of them. That is what I do with the end of the year when it starts getting cold. They ripen and are good.
My dill have done the same thing. Mine turn soft. I have heard that the vinegar has to be 5% acidity if not the pickles will be soft. Dill pickles are the only thing I can't seem to get right when it comes to canning.
I am going to try it again this year. I am about to give up on them.

I am not sure I understand but I am going to attempt to answer your question. Are you talking about vegetables you have canned or ones you have bought at the store? Either way I have eaten both without heating them up for 15 minutes.
