They were probably 6 to 7 inches long. The seeds were still small enough that I didn't have to cut them out. They are so good rolled in a Kentucky Kernal flour and fried.
If you like fried dill pickles you should like these as much if not better.
I canned some zucchini dill slices with Ball Koisher Dill Mix. Not half bad. Then I thought I am going to fry them just like the fried Dill Pickles. Yum. To me they taste better than the pickles.
Thanks for the recipes. Have never heard of this before. I wonder if you can use blueberries?
What do the jellies taste like? Strawberry and Pineapple?
This may sound silly. Are they low to the ground? There is a wild rose that grows like that. I have seen them when we are riding. Sometimes the flower is pink sometimes white. Not sure what you have.
Looks great. Have you considered doing a blog in my page area? Tell us what you are doing. For a first timer you are doing great!
I didn't plant corn this year. I was late getting my garden out.
I am wondering if anyone still plants crops by the signs? By the signs I mean the signs of the moon. My grandfather and father planted their gardens this way. I can't remember all the signs. Was just curious if anyone ever did this anymore.
Southern Indiana weather is warm and wet right now. I have always planted potatoes on Good Friday and had them in the summer. Didn't get to do that this year so I was wondering if I could plant them now and have them for this fall. I think I will try. Couldn't hurt.
Thanks Oakland you gave me some ideas on the pvc pipe. Never thought about that. Learn something new everyday.
I just love this site. Great people here.
