Well that is working for me so far so I guess I will stick with it. I do have a pretty nice farmers market that keeps me in as much produce as I want....thanks for the advice :)
All thoughts and opinions are helpful...as I said this is new and I know there is a learning curve!
I currently have 21 tomato plants, many different varieties and stages of development. Yes, I always have a colorful bowl of Sungold cherries & yellow teardrops but I am not getting many of the...
So this may be a hard question....I want to can. Pickles, Salsa, Tomato Sauce, Beans...you name it, I want to learn how to can it.
So this is my first real garden in many years. I have a small 100 sq foot raised bed and then lots of other things (peppers, herbs, tomatoes, melons, lettuce)...
What you are planning sounds very nice, I am sure that it will become a positive outlet for your DD.
My DD & her best friend got caught sneaking out once....the best friend continued doing it. I had a long serious talk with her one day stressing how dangerous it is anything can happen. I am...
Fantastic photos! Not only does your garden and your produce look amazing, but your shots are very good.
You have an artistic eye and and a real knack for photography. Keep it up...and thanks for sharing :)

Beautiful pictures! Nice job :)
I have yet to try pickling but then again I only have 3 cukes...all different varieties too. I am going to start some pickling kind this weekend.
Your harvest looks incredible, nice work...you are an inspiration!
Thank you, Tutter that was very well said and it is what I am trying to accomplish balance rather than total world (garden) domination and control! LOL...
I think one of the reasons that the caterpillars have not gotten out of hand is that I have many birds in and around my garden. I put a...
Thanks Silkiechicken :) I appreciate the info....I will go out today and try to figure out my next move.
For the record the family thought the corn was fine, so it obviously was not too starchy. Maybe it was just me :)
