    growing herb in tera cotta pipe

    I'm in the process of making an herb garden in old drain tiles I have a bunch of square and round tiles and I would like to put a flower in with the herbs here and there to add some color. Has anyone out there tried this, and what flowers are good with herbs?

    we're not going to get out of the 20's today but at least the it quit snowing. (we got about 6" yeaterday) it will be in the 50's by friday so I'll get back to work this week. I just get so impatient waiting, it makes me crazy.

    Where are you at? I use bee balm in the dark north corner by my house with a couple native azalea but the humidity is pretty high here they might be to high maintainance out west. but they are beautiful. I have both of these plants growing in my moms yard and she is in west central michigan.
