Awww they are so cute Bee! Rams or ewes? One of them looks like it has red speckles on it's tale and hind legs. Glad they are doing good and you had no troubles with the lambing. Thanks for the pics! Loved the last one out in the pasture. Looks so peaceful with them all out there grazing.
Nurseries/garden stores are considered essential, as long as they follow safe distancing guidelines. At least here in Texas they are. You can call, place your order, pay over the phone and they will load you up when you get there...
I read it as jaw too! :gig I was thinking, "oh that poor girl"! She'll do great on 3 legs. I had a manx cat that was shot in the front shoulder many years ago. The vet took off his leg and it never stopped him. He'd still climb trees & catch mice.
@TwinCitiesPanda - We were just thinking about putting ours up for sale and getting something smaller. It's just DH & I. We don't a 2 story house.
I've also went back and ordered some more seeds that I will/might be needing later this summer for fall & winter. In fact, they just came in the...
Just a little FYI:
I will be needing a few more jars this year for my canning. I thought I would go ahead and order them today for pick up at Walmart (I was going to get my daughter to pick them up for me). Well, the only stores that had any for pick up were over an hour away from me. So, I...
Granddaughter & I made cookies this afternoon. Peanut butter from a package, and oatmeal from scratch. I couldn't find my recipe I usually make, so found one off the internet. Best oatmeal cookies ever! Crispy on the edges and chewy in the middle. Yum!
I think everyone should have some form of gun training before carrying a pistol around with them. I've been around/shot guns most of my life & I still had a handgun class before getting my permit. It amazed me how many people in the glass (6 yrs ago) that have never even touched a gun, much less...
Well, seems like there has been an update on yesterday's total. Instead of the 519 deaths in the US, there were 573 deaths on Monday in the US with 20,353 new cases.
So far today, there are 515 new cases and 17 new deaths.
I understand exactly. My husband is considered essential and goes out...
We have a couple of springs on our place. The one out in the pasture fills up our 20' deep pound. We also have one that starts & runs down the ditch line next to the road. It never runs dry.
Yesterday was a nice day here in East Texas. I spent the morning out in the gardening getting some...
Honestly, I really didn't get that many that were coiled. Most had a curve to them, but maybe 25% were coiled? Easier to snap when straight, so I made sure and saved the straighter ones for seed. :)
I grow rattle snake green beans. They do really well here in the heat of summer. This will be my 3rd year planting my own beans. I find they get better each year since they are acclimatizing to our area.
@baymule - I can't believe they haven't shut down your county yet. Gregg is to be shut down Thurs at midnight for all non essential business. There is 3 in that county. We have 2 so far in ours.
It was 84* here today. I had blooms on my pear tree for the first time! Red & white clover is up & blooming. My apple trees are leaving out. Sadly my fig trees must have taken a frost this year. I'll have to cut them back and let them regrow. They were getting so big. :(
Sadly, I physically can't grow enough to feed my family. If this was 20 yrs ago, yes, but not now. :( I grow as much as I can now, but it's not enough to just eat out of the garden.
I'm kilzing the trim/doors right now, well, waiting for it to dry so that I can go back over it with country white. The walls are/going to be a desert tan which is much lighter than the previous color. I like to paint. I'm not a messy painter, but DH & the grandD is. That is why I have us...
