They eat baby birds too. I had a coppermouth climb a tree in my yard to get to baby birds. An Oak snake tunnelled into my chicken house and ate 3 baby guineas in one setting. How he really got in is a mystery because we burried chicken wire all along the outside of the coop a foot under ground...
Today it was very stormy so, while it was raining I put my new composter together. It's the Miracle grow model, 18 cubic "something" on each side. (I'm not good on measurements) and I am going to put it in an empty spot in my raised bed garden for convenience. I used to use a large garbage can...
I'm eating blackberries and have frozen three quarts so far. The blueberries are just starting so I had enough of those for my cereal this morning. Tomatoes have given me lots for salads and I made a gallon of salsa. It is divided into 4 quarts and is in the freezer. The peppers are starting to...
Actually it isn't but if you don't want to bother, then don't remove it.

We have deer near here but they don't come into the city. I live on the edge of town and city limits are one mile square. Outside of the city it goes into farm land almost immediately so, the deer favor those corn fields, soybeans and all thw woodlands and swamps. I don't have critters other...
When my husband was alive and we were on the farm I kept all my feed in dead chest freezers. We removed the motor, sealed the drain and put a paddlock on so that if any of the animals (particularly my Haflinger, the little devil) got loose, they couldn't nose the lid open.
