I have done a LOT of sewing in my life. I have made dresses for my two girls, bedspreads, blankets, curtains, tablecloths, ditty bags, tote bags, couch and cushions covers, decorative pillows, pillow cases, quillows, canvas covers for many things on our sailboat, new sails, ornaments, Halloween...
I hate ironing. I used to iron my dad's shirts for work and then my own when I worked in an office. I'm happy none of my current clothes require ironing! What a waist of time!!
I moved into a house one spring that had a garden space in the backyard. As I was turning the soil I found some Yukon gold potatoes! I was so excited because this was an unexpected surprise! There also was a small rosemary bush in the yard, so I ended up making rosemary potatoes to celebrate!
I love green onions! I use them constantly and I use the whole thing - just trim off the very ends on each side. I grow them a lot in the garden. I planted them one year in such a way that I could fit my lawn lounge chair beside them. Then every time I sunbathed, I would do weeding right...
I removed part of our lawn by the house to make areas for bushes and flowers and I just used a flat edged shovel and scraped off the grass where I didn't want it. Then I added steer manure and hoed the area pretending I was a human rototiller! Lol. It worked great!

I believe African Violets like indirect sunlight and warm, humid temps. When you water them, water directly into the soil avoiding wetting the leaves.
