I read that human waste contains harmful bacteria to plants and composting micro-organizms. And...I don't think its right to store your own urine - ever. :sick
Maybe you should try growing in a plastic container or in an old tire. Your seeds will love the warm soil and so will the roots. Also remember not to over-water and to keep in well drained soil. I'm sure you'll have success.
Good luck!
My squash got those silver leaves once it started getting flowers. I thought it was a sign of maturity and production.
I would just let them be.
Have fun!
I feel kinda rotten asking this, but...do you have pics?
I THINK I may have a watermelon plant growing. I'm still trying to identify it. I wanna se what it'll look like...? :duc
I have some very young melon plants that are just about ready to vine out. This is my first time growing melons, so this could get intresting. Thanks for the info everyone. I can't wait to get my first fruit!
My entire garden goes through this every single day. If I don't water within an hour of them wilting, they fall over. I had to tie my squash to a dowel stuck in the ground so that the stem won't brake or injure itself.
My garden sometimes goes throught those tough phases too. It's usually a change in weather and everything kicks back in in a couple f weeks. Do you have a plant whoes roots are dominating other plants? Sometimes that can also be the case.
I have a bunch of Full-sun plants that only get little sun each day. They always do fine. My squash gets only about 4-6 hours of direct sun each day, and it's looking like a champ!
That is a truly stunning garden! :rainbow-sun
Great job!
Its funny when you think of how many memories a garden can hold. My mom has an herb garden that has lots of mint. This mint was always special to her. She had brought it from Nogales, her home town in Mexico, and has had it for over...
My squash plants are large now, but my corn is 3-6 inches tall. When the corn is larger, I'll sow the beans. I'll have to snap some pics of how the two siblings are doing, pretty soon they'll have a little sister and they'll turn into a three sisters garden! :plbb
