I think peas, tomatoes, and cucumbers are my favorite garden veggies to grow. The first two are so great to snack on while you are out in the garden and I grow cucumbers just so I have an excuse to eat blue cheese dressing! 😋
I have gone to the Roozengaarde tulip festival there a few times and it is just an incredible experience! I've never seen so many gorgeous flowers in one place!
Years back I bought a red rose and took it sailing for a couple months and all of the blooms turned white. Now, I just bought a white rose and took it sailing for a week so far and as you can see the petals are changing colors!!!
That's good! I once planted peas too early and they just froze in their size for like a month and then when things warmed up, they took off growing! I can't sneak them in early. Lesson learned!
Breakfast today is 2 cups of coffee, bacon chopped up into scrambled eggs with one birds eye chili cut up finely and added to the mix. Then later, some freshly picked nettle tea with honey.
Blackberries make excellent mead too! We picked a bunch a couple years back and made mead that we enjoyed with our Thanksgiving feast later that year. Oh so good!
Here are a few of the springy things I saw today on my walk - dandelions, skunk cabbage, and salmon berry blooms. I love this time of year! It's finally warming up and there is so much life everywhere!
